Project Information
This project was a 6,390 square foot ground-up restaurant that seats 190 people, however, a large volume of the client business is carry out. Thus, a special area of the restaurant is designed for that purpose. The main dining area has a full size bar area and the kitchen is quite large. In the kitchen there is a style exterior walk-in cooler. This type of cooler creates several challenges to the construction schedule.
This particular site had a utility connection point in the county right-of-way, and was located in the middle of a busy intersection. Careful planning, along with some night time operations completed this process successfully. This site also had a fiber optic cable discovered while excavating. VSI had to coordinate its relocation with several individuals to assure the cables continued use.
During the construction of this project, we incurred 35 full days of rain. Our final turn over reflected only a nine day loss time due to everyones extra effort.
