August 2, 2007 Len Sutherland Jay Tutt VSI Construction, Inc. 11751 Troy Lane North Maple Grove, MN 55369 RE: Volp Building Plymouth Storm Repairs Dear Len and Jay, I am writing to thank you for VSI's prompt response during the restoration of our building, caused by the storm on May 23, 2007. The north 16,000 sq ft of the building incurred major damage in excess of $300,000. Marty Sutherland deserves special recognition. With Marty's skills and talents, VSI was able to structurally secure the collapsing roof the following morning and thus avoided the need to relocate two tenants. During the following 28 days total restoration of the building interior occurred in addition to exterior walls and roof system repairs. In this short period of time the building was returned to pristine condition. During this intense month, Marty directed twenty sub-contractors, working among a full warehouse of damaged goods and two fully staffed offices, without any confrontations by anyone. Marty has successfully completed projects for us in the past requiring the cooperation of tenants and contractors, but when under the pressure of an emergency Mary excelled. This speaks well not only of Marty, but of your entire organization. Without VSI's extensive support, this would not have occurred.
